New discovery

Soon there will come a specialist to take a closer look on our farm.

He needs to have access to as much as possible spaces. And as we were quite sure at the end of the living room that it was hollow underneath, we had to find a possibility to look into that space. At the head of the building there were 2 vents. So I had to break away the cover.

It turned out that there was another grate behind... and plenty of spiderweb. 

Luckily it was not that difficult to take everything away (including the spider webs).

With a flashlight I could look into it. And … it looks like we have some kind of (still crappy) basement…. Unfortunately it was totally empty. The ceiling (= floor of the living room) had isolation.

The image is 45° tilted to the left. At the back some kind of entrance.

Now tilted 45° to the right. Some old wall made with bolders is visible at the opposite site.
At the side of the house there had been an entrance. And when you look at the structures one can see where it is in the wall att the outside.

Under the window there are some traces of the entrance in the brics and the plaster.
It all looked quite ok on the first view, as we feared mouldy wood there.
